The International Mathematics Olympiad (AOF IMO) is an annual academic competition organized by AOF for students in classes 6 to 10 to assess their knowledge and skills in mathematical reasoning and logical ability. The curriculum of the AOF Olympiad is designed to provide young students with a platform to identify and nurture their academic talents in the field of mathematics, preparing them for the competitive world from an early age. Olympiads, as prescribed by NEP, facilitate the development of problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and cognitive skills in students.

EXAM DATE
AOF IMO will be conducted on three dates, as under. A school may select one date to conduct the AOF IMO as per its convenience.
DATE ONE – 17TH October 2024
DATE TWO – 20th November 2024
DATE THREE – 11th December 2024

International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) Exam Pattern & Syllabus:
AOF International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) is a prestigious competition that challenges students to showcase their knowledge and skills in various areas of mathematics. The exam pattern typically consists of multiple-choice questions, and problem-solving tasks that assess a student’s understanding of mathematical applications and logical reasoning aptitude. The syllabus for IMO level 1 and 2 covers a wide range of topics, including but not limited to algebra, trigonometry, geometry, linear equations, differential equations, limits and derivatives, integers, and probability. Participants are required to demonstrate their ability to apply theoretical knowledge to solve real-world problems and think critically about complex mathematical problems.
International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) Eligibility Criteria Level 1:
Students from classes 6 to 10, enrolled in a school recognized by AOF are eligible for International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO). Students from particular classes can appear for that class’s Olympiad only. Other than this there are no eligibility criteria.
International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) Eligibility Criteria Level 2:
Only students from classes 3-12 are eligible to take part in the level 2 exam of IMO. There is no level 2 exam for the students of classes 1 and 2. Class-wise top 5% of the participating students in the level 1 exam are selected for the level 2 exam.
How to Participate in the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO)
Schools should apply and submit the form for the AOF International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) at least 30 days before the exam date.
Students cannot submit their applications individually. Applications will only be submitted via the schools.

International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) Awards/ Scholarships/ Recognition
In the upcoming academic year 2024-25, winners of the AOF International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) will be presented with a range of IMO awards and scholarships. These include international, zonal, and school topper awards for classes 6 to 10. The top three international rank holders will receive cash awards, medals, and certificates, while zonal and school-level winners will also be recognized. Schools and educators are also acknowledged for their contribution to students’ success, with awards and scholarships at international, zonal, and district levels. Appreciation certificates and gifts are also extended to principals and teachers for their dedication and efforts.
